International Cooperation Agreements

The Graduate Program in Philosophy at UCS holds a cooperation agreement with Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile) aimed at promoting student exchanges for coursework, seminars, and supervised internships. The partnership supports mutual collaboration in teaching, research, and outreach, strengthening the International Affairs strategies of both institutions. The agreement also includes the joint organization of academic and scientific events, broadening opportunities for formation and collaboration. Additional agreements are currently under development for the 2025-2028 period.

Courses and Bibliographies in Foreign Languages

Each year, the English Course of Philosophy (Seminar in Practical Philosophy) is offered, taught by our faculty and featuring international guest lecturers. This course aims to foster a welcoming and intellectually stimulating environment, allowing students to engage with complex philosophical ideas in a foreign language.
Since 2024, the International Seminar on Social, Political and Legal Philosophy has been held. This event includes an intensive, credited international course offered in a foreign language exclusively to graduate students, while also being open in extension format to alumni, undergraduate students, and the general public. In 2024, the seminar was conducted by Prof. Dr. Michael J. Thompson (William Paterson University), and a new edition is planned for 2025.
At least 40% of the bibliography for each course in the Graduate Program in Philosophy at UCS is composed of works in foreign languages, fostering familiarity with specialized international literature.
