Symposium – Women’s Health and HIV

Objective
The study of mental health and psychosocial problems associated with HIV-infected pregnant women and mothers may contribute to the construction of strategies for prevention, care and improvement of the quality of life of HIV positive women and, consequently, their families.
In this context, this symposium aims to present to the community a study carried out with HIV-infected mothers and pregnant women and to offer an opportunity for a multidisciplinary debate on the biological and psychosocial aspects that are relevant to the care of HIV positive women, focusing on pregnancy and motherhood.
Target audience
Health professionals with practice in prevention and treatment of HIV positive women, Medicine, Psychology, Social Service and Nursing students.
