Schedule: from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Place: Main Campus - Universidade de Caxias do Sul - Caxias do Sul - RS, Brazil

Objective: The main objective of the course is to offer knowledge about the plurality of Brazilian culture and literature, focusing on historical and artistic aspects that are determinant for the shaping of the national identity.

Target Public: Students, professionals and people interested in this area of study.

The course will last 3 hours a day for the specific subjects and 2 hours a day for the Brazilian Portuguese course for foreigners; 5 days a week, from Monday to Friday, for 2 weeks, totaling 10 classes: 10 in the morning shift, which include the specific course taught in the English language and 10 lessons of Brazilian Portuguese for foreigners, totaling a workload of 80 hours. 2 technical visits to the companies of the region will be included in the project and also a city tour in Caxias do Sul.

Registration Fees: US $ 680.00 (six hundred and eighty US dollars), corresponding to R$ 2.760,00 (Two thousand seven hundred and sixty reais). Conversion made based on the quotation of the sale price of the Dollar published by the Central Bank of Brazil, R$ 4,0594 related to the launch date of the Program 24/09/2018, there will not be changes due to exchange variation.

Registration fees include: 50 hours of class with specific modules, classes of Brazilian Portuguese class for foreigners and 2 technical visits; closing dinner; transfer from the airport or the bus station of the city of Caxias do Sul to the place of accommodation, only on the official arrival day; Welcome kit; Access to all university facilities (gym, swimming pool, computer labs, library, sports center, etc.); Certificate and transcription.

Registration fees do not include: Local transportation; accommodation; personal expenses; meals; cultural tours; transfer check out and any other extra / private expenses.

Reception and orientation: The University of Caxias do Sul will hold a welcoming meeting with guidelines on different topics: city tips and guidelines, health and medical emergencies, tourism in the region, shopping, restaurants, university regulations and program specifics.

Brazilian Portuguese for Foreigners' classes will be arranged in two modules considering the previous knowledge of the candidates. Both modules will be fully aimed for the basic level of the language or for the intermediate ones.

22/2 - Friday - Class 5 - Technical Visit (with the presence of one portuguese teacher)
