Language and Cultural Processes

This line of research comprises investigations that establish relations between linguistic and cultural phenomena under different theoretical and methodological perspectives.
(a) It includes studies of connections between the lexicum, grammar and discourse with cognitive and sociocultural factors of language in use, whether it be mother language or foreign language.
(b)It comprehends linguistic studies related to productions constituted by other expressive forms or sign systems, including language multimodality.
(c) It approaches the relationship between language and media on the face of constant technological and sociocultural changes.
(d) It embraces studies about the relation of language with school culture or other sociocultural factors related to teaching.

Literature and Cultural Processes

This line of research includes investigations that establish relations between literary, historical, and cultural phenomena under different theoretical and methodological perspectives.
(a) It comprises the study of different ways of artistic expression, languages and symbolic systems.
(b) It comprehends cultural studies regarding gender, identity and ethnicity on Literature.
(c) It approaches the study of the relationship between culture and regionality issues, which connects to other relevant concepts as delimited by its category of analysis.
(d) It includes the study of the relations of literary productions to school culture or to other sociocultural factors regarding teaching.
