Lines of Research

Objective

The Graduate Program in Languages and Culture aims at multi and interdisciplinary educational development of students, once its research objects converge to Languages, Linguistics and Literature - as well as Cultural Studies. Language, as a social and multi-faceted phenomenon, almost as a matter of course, integrates studies about culture, as cultural studies use language on some of their methods or consider it as an object on some approaches. Once a fertile scientific field - Languages and Literature - is intertwined with a complex concept such as culture, on a theory and a methodological level - one can expect the production of a great network of research whose feedback is constant and profitable.

Target-Audience

Besides the graduates from Languages and Literature Courses, the program welcomes graduates from other fields of expertise, such as: Pedagogy, Communication, History, Arts, Law, among others that may relate directly or indirectly with the lines of research.
