The Graduate Program in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Caxias do Sul (PPGMAT-UCS) provides students with a solid background to meet current professional challenges.
The Program promotes the publication of papers in scientific journals, patent applications, research internships in laboratories of excellence in Brazil and abroad, attendance in events and the creation of startups.
Between 2004 and 2022, the Program granted 140 Master's and 28 Doctor's degrees to students who now act as corporate professionals (49%), academics (24%), doctoral students (19%), and entrepreneurs (3%), among other professional activities.
