The Master's Degree in Enology and Viticulture

The Master's Degree in Enology and Viticulture is linked to the Post-Graduate Program in Biotechnology and to the Area of Knowledge of Life Sciences. Approved by CAPES, in October 2010, it begins its activities in 2011 with concept 4.

Fostering the synergy between research, education, production and industry, the Master's Degree aims at training highly qualified professionals in the area of winemaking, in order to meet the national and international demand of companies in the sector and thus contribute to the qualification and strengthening of national vitiviniculture.
It is structured from an area of concentration in Viticulture and Management in three lines of research:

  • Viticulture and the Environment

Target Students

Professional graduated in areas related to winemaking or with proven experience in the area (specialization, long-term internships, extension courses, etc.).

Term

The maximum deadline for the completion of the Master's degree, including the defense of completion work, is 24 months.

Number of Vacancies

The number of places in each selection process is determined by the Collegiate of the Course, according to the availability of counselors.

Selection

The admission is made through participation in a selective process regulated by a specific edict issued by the Pro-Rectory of Research and Post-Graduation.
