PMAI - International Mobility Program (Semester / Academic Year)

The International Academic Mobility Program is offered to undergraduate students from Partner Institutions with the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS) worldwide. This Program consists of one or two academic semesters (sequential or not) at UCS with exemption of any tuition or academic fees.

Why choose UCS?

UCS is the largest and most well equipped higher education institution in the northeast region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Offering more than 60 undergraduate courses in all areas of knowledge, UCS is present in eight cities throughout the state, with a complete array of facilities, laboratories and other services at the disposal of students, faculty and researchers.

Application Deadlines

• From February 2nd to April 20th - Enrollment for the Academic Semester August/December 2023.
• From June 20th to November 5th - Enrollment for the Academic Semester February/July 2024.

Requirements

• To be 18 years old (minimum age)
• To be regularly enrolled at the university of origin
• To have basic knowledge of Portuguese language (or availability to take Portuguese Language courses).

• Academic Record from the University of origin
• Copy of the passport

Applicant Expenses and Responsibilities

The applicant will be responsible for the following expenses:

• Student visa
• Health insurance
• Housing and food
• Transportation
• Personal expenses
• And any other living expenses

Selection

The selection of the mobility candidates is made at the student's University of origin according to the Institution's criteria.

Results

All applications will be reviewed by the Course Coordinator at UCS. The following items will be considered:

• Meeting the requirements demanded by the Course Program
• Availability of the selected Subjects in the Learning Agreement

Once the Coordination has approved the Learning Agreement, an Acceptance Letter will be sent to the student's University of origin. If necessary, the student can change subjects after enrolment up to the end of the first two weeks of the Academic Semester.
